Lapis Amanzi Dove is a Los Angeles–based actress and model. She grew up in Hawaii, immersed in the performing arts through hula, Tahitian dance, and stage productions. These early experiences sparked a lifelong passion for storytelling and a deep appreciation for performance's transformative power.
She was accepted into the acting conservatory at Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences, where she studied acting, ballet, improvisation, and musical theater. At 15, she continued her training at Yale University's National Student Leadership Conference, developing her skills in acting, voice, comedy, and improvisation.
Lapis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and Performance from Bard College, where she explored Shakespeare, poetry, classical theater, and musical theater through both academic study and stage performance. Her work later took her to Greece, where she joined in the chorus of Oedipus, and traveled throughout the country with the One Year Lease theater company. The Greek/English production gave her an international perspective on theatrical storytelling and performance.
Now based in Los Angeles, Lapis continues to refine her craft through training at Howard Fine Acting Studio. Most recently, she starred in a leading role in a production featured in the BRISK Theater Festival. With a foundation spanning classical theater, contemporary performance, movement, and improvisation, she brings versatility, emotional depth, and a distinctive physical expressiveness to her work.
Driven by a deep curiosity about human nature and the stories that connect us, Lapis continues to pursue opportunities across film, television, and theater, approaching each project with a commitment to artistic growth, authenticity, and compelling storytelling.
